Hello all,
As you know, I'm in Physician Assistant graduate program at East Carolina. Since the beginning of the year I have moved to Raleigh to start my rotations. I have 8 rotations that each last 6 weeks. I already finished my first rotation, Internal Medicine, in Smithfield NC. It was a great experience and I learned a lot about rural medicine. We saw a lot of elderly patients which was a very different extreme from my current rotation - Pediatrics. So far it Peds is a lot of fun, but at times it can be monotonous (well child check-ups, flu, ear infection... repeat). Overall, I'm having a blast working with kids and it is still a specialty I'm considering post-graduate. I finish up at the end of March and move on to my Surgical rotation. Here is a picture of me in my white coat - sorry about the quality of the photo, it was copied from another site.
